• WTNG 102 - How Writing Works

• MATH 110 - Mathematics in the Modern World *(or higher)
• IDS 150 - Cultural Awareness in a Global Society
• IDS 210 - Effective Speaking Across Audiences

  And at least one approved course from each of the following categories to total 30 credits:

  • Natural Science
  • Humanities
  • Fine Arts

Major Requirements (36 credits)

• SOCSC 240 - Quantitative Analysis in the Social Sciences
• SOCSC 340 - Social Science Research Methods
• SOCSC 436 - Social Science Seminar
• SOC 100 - Introduction to Sociology
• PSYCH 100 - Introduction to Psychology

  Students must take eight additional courses in at least two, but not more than three areas of social science.

   

  Please Note:

  At least two courses must be at the 300-400 level in each discipline.

   

  • Students may choose from the following disciplines: American Studies, Anthropology, Criminal Justice, Education, Paralegal Studies, Public Administration, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology, Social & Health Services, Strategic Communication, Community Development.
  • Students must also complete the School of University Studies Core Curriculum requirements.
