Prerequisites: Placement by examination or successful completion (C- or higher) of Intermediate II American Sign Language ASL 202 Note: Not open to those proficient in American Sign Language. Students produce news reports and present them for the fictitious EYEWitness News Desk These reports include current events, weather, sports and interviews with guest speakers. Preparing these reports and interviewing guest speakers introduces new vocabulary. By the end of the semester students begin producing segments for the EYEWitness News Desk called The Mime Gourmet-which they present almost entirely without the use of formal signs by employing numerous classifiers and sequencing.
