Prerequisites:Successful completion (C- or higher) of MATH 221; or consent of instructor Fulfills a course requirement in the Mathematics Core Concentration Focuses on groups, rings, and their homomorphism’s. Topics include subgroups and quotient groups, group actions, ideals, quotient rings, Euclidean and principal ideal domains, and factorization.
