HIST 283 - Survey of Latin American History Prerequisites: HIST 101 , HIST 102 or consent of instructor Fulfills a course requirement in the History Core Concentration This course presents a synthesis of the historical development of Latin America from the Pre-Columbian era to the present. The course is organized in chronological fashion and examines topics such as Pre-Columbian states, the colonial period, the movement for independence, and neocolonialism.
