Graduate Certificate in Real Estate

The Graduate Certificate in Real Estate provides graduate students and practicing professionals, in full-time or part-time studies, a project-based curriculum that will utilize industry experts and learning experiences in the northeastern region. The real estate industry requires professionals with a holistic view of real estate that combines theory, practical experience, and early exposure to problem-based learning. Our region presents the perfect backdrop to real-world real estate challenges with complicated regulatory issues, challenging site selection, coastal and environmental issues, social inequities, preservation, and zoning complexities.

Students who complete the certificate will understand multiple aspects of the real estate profession including design, finance, management, construction, regulatory affairs, environmental conditions, and social policy. Students will choose certain areas to gain deeper expertise. The certificate will address the impact of real estate on individuals, households, and communities in terms of access to education, healthcare, economic opportunity, recreation, and safe environments. The certificate also provides an understanding of real estate’s far-reaching effects on the natural and built environments and social equity.
