JD/MBA

The joint JD/MBA program allow students to obtain their JD and MBA at the same time during their graduate studies at RWU.  A JD and MBA degree is a sought after credential in many fields and can equip students to compete in the fast changing business world. The joint JD/MBA program consists of 24 core credits for the MBA degree as well as all required courses and a sufficient number of electives to earn 78 of the required credits for the law degree. Applicants must apply to and earn acceptance into each program separately. Students who are in good standing at the end of their first year in the RWU School of Law are eligible to apply to the JD/MBA Program.

Program Requirements


Students who are in good standing at the end of their first year of study in the RWU School of Law are eligible to apply for admission to the JD/MBA Program.  Application should be made through the RWU Office of Graduate Admissions.  The application includes the application form itself and a statement of purpose as to why the student is interested in pursuing the dual degree.  Transcripts will be obtained from the School of Law.  Applicants to the JD/MBA program may use their LSAT scores in place of the normally required GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test) or GRE (Graduate Record Examination) upon notifying the RWU Office of Graduate Admissions that this is their intent.  Admission decisions are made on a rolling basis and using a portfolio apprach, wherein all aspects of the application are considered by the admission committee in the Gabelli School of Business.
