Music Minor: General Studies

The General Studies Music Minor is designed for students who wish to focus on music as part of their General Education experience, or for those who wish a more general music experience to complement their other major(s) without a need and requirement for applied music instruction (lessons and/or ensemble).

Required Courses
The following three (3) foundation courses are required. Students may place out of MUSIC 110 by taking a placement examination and elect to take MUSIC 170 Music Theory and Composition I in place of MUSIC 110.
Elective Courses (6 credits):
- Choose any two (2) courses in MUSIC at the 200 level or higher.
