The Journalism program prepares students to exercise good news judgment, to report the news with accuracy, balance and fairness and to recognize the value of public service and civic engagement. In this program, students learn newsgathering, writing, reporting and multimedia storytelling competencies that advance the publication of news and information across various media and online platforms. Experiential, hands-on learning in community engagement collaborations encourage students to practice the craft with integrity, accountability, transparency and in an ethical manner that respects human diversity and global sustainability.
