ENVS 104 - Principles of Oceanography and Lab Prerequisites: None Corequisite: ENVS.104 lab Requirement Fulfillment: Major, Minor, Core Concentration Principles of Oceanography provides an introduction to the four interrelated science disciplines - chemistry, physics, geology, and biology - that constitute the subject of oceanography. Lectures cover the complex characteristics and dynamic processes of the world’s oceans. Laboratory reinforces these concepts, while also providing experience and training in: (i) sampling equipment and instrumentation, (ii) research methods, (iii) data management and statistical analyses, and (iv) science communication.
