ENG 150 - Internship in Literary Studies and Related Fields

Prerequisites: The CCPD  Career Planning Seminar
Requirement Fulfillment: Major
This course is designed to grant academic credit to students who intern on a part-time basis in positions that bear some relationship to literary study. The Career Planning Seminar is a pre-requisite for an internship for credit.  Career Advisors are available in the Center for Career & Professional Development to assist students with their internship searches.  Students must also obtain consent from a faculty sponsor in order to earn credit for an internship.  This variable 1-3-credit internship requires 45 hours of combined internship hours and writing/reflection per credit, 135 hours for three credits.   Students are graded on a 10-12 page paper with supervision from the faculty internship sponsor, and two evaluations (mid-semester and final) from the internship site supervisor.  Students can elect Letter Grade or Pass/No Pass. Can be repeated for up to six credits total; up to three credits can be applied to the major.
