EDU 200 - Foundations of Education Prerequisites: None The course enables students to explore the profession and decide whether they want to become teachers. The curriculum examines historical, philosophical, and social issues of teaching and learning through selected readings, class discussions, and student research. This course includes a field experience in an urban public school. Students are required to write and present research on a current issue in education and to compile a “culture of the school” report based on their field experiences.
