ANSOC 305 - Social Theory


Prerequisites: ANSOC 105 , SOC 260 . and ANSOC 100 , ANSOC 200 ; open to Anthropology + Sociology Majors only with at least Junior standing, or consent of instructor
An analysis of the classical origins of contemporary social thought. This course pays special attention to contemporary anthropological and social theory. Perspectives such as symbolic interaction, critical theory, and contemporary feminist theories are also considered.
