SHS 436 - Introduction to Education of the Exceptional Child
Prerequisites:None Intended for nurses in the field of School Nurse Teaching, emphasis is placed on the state and federal legal requirements/ responsibilities of school nurse teachers in the mainstreaming of students with special needs, a critical examination of existing services and programs, and a review of case studies. Guest lectures and the demonstration of adaptive equipment are included in the course.
