PSYCH 362 - Animal Behavior Cross-Listed with: BIO 362 Prerequisites: PSYCH 100 OR PSYCH 179 and BIO 103 - Intro to Molec & Cell Biology w/ Lab BIO 104 - Intro to Evolution & Ecology w/ Lab and at least junior standing, or consent of instructor Requirement Fulfillment: Fulfills a course requirement in the Psychology Core Concentration This course examines animal behavior from an evolutionary standpoint, incorporating genetic, physiological, and developmental foundations for behavior. Topics covered include the reasons for, and mechanisms behind common behaviors such as migration, communication, navigation, predator avoidance, foraging, social systems, and mating behaviors.
