ANSOC 245 - Disasters and Society Prerequisites: ANSOC 105 Requirement Fulfillment: Fulfills a course requirement in the Anthropology + Sociology Core Concentration Social science is confronting the consequences of large human-created and human-enabled disasters. Earthquakes, fires, hurricanes, terrorist attacks, and biomedical threats shape modern life. This course examines the manner in which human activity generates, exacerbates, and responds to ‘natural’ and ‘man-made’ disasters.
