Mathematics Minor

Required Courses

• MATH 213 - Calculus I and Lab
• MATH 214 - Calculus II and Lab
• and three additional mathematics courses at the 200 level or above, for a minimum of 9 credit hours.
• Math 207 may not be used to fulfill a requirement for the Mathematics/Applied Mathematics minor or major.
• Students may not get a minor in both Mathematics and Applied Mathematics.

Engineering Students

Engineering students who wish to pursue a math minor would benefit by taking three of the following courses:

• MATH 255 - Scientific Computing and Data Visualization
• MATH 305 - Mathematical Modeling
• MATH 315 - Probability and Statistics
• MATH 317 - Differential Equations
• MATH 331 - Linear Algebra
• MATH 330 - Engineering Mathematics
• MATH 351 - Calculus of Several Variables
• MATH 342 - Numerical Analysis

Business Students

Business students who wish to pursue a math minor would benefit by taking three of the following courses:

Science Students
