BIO 407 - Laboratory Facilitation Prerequisites: Consent of Instructor and grade of B or higher in the course for which laboratory facilitation is offered. Requirement Fulfillment: N/A Delivery: Practicum This 1-credit course constitutes an experiential learning opportunity for students to serve as a course consultant for laboratory courses they have successfully completed with a
grade of B or higher in a prior semester. Laboratory facilitators share expertise developed through successful completion of a course in a prior semester with currently enrolled students, outside of the regularly scheduled lab and lecture meetings. Laboratory facilitators serve two primary functions:
1. to provide practical perspective regarding the development and use of methods and protocols necessary to complete course assignments, and
2. to facilitate after-hours access to teaching laboratories so that students can complete required course projects while ensuring the two-person laboratory safety requirement is always met. Minimum Passing Grade: P
