ENGR 428 - Open Channel Hydraulics

Prerequisites: ENGR 305
Requirement Fulfillment: Major
Note: This is a required course for the Environmental Engineering specialization and an elective course option for the Civil Engineering specialization
Delivery: Lecture
This course is a study of open channel hydraulics as applied to civil and environmental engineering. The course builds on knowledge of the physics of fluid flow learned in fluid mechanics to consider gravity driven flow in natural and engineered channels. The course considers analyses of steady flow scenarios and hydraulic structures, and introduces concepts of unsteady flow.
