ENGR 448 - Ocean Hydrodynamics Prerequisites: ENGR305 and MATH317 Requirement Fulfillment: Major Delivery: Lecture Students will learn about the physical processes that govern the ocean environment. The course draws upon topics in math, physics, and fluid dynamics to model and understand various applications in engineering, such as predicting the behavior of boats and other bodies in regular wave conditions as well as storms, breaking waves, and collisions with icebergs. This class prepares students for work in naval architecture, ship hydrodynamics, offshore wind energy engineering, and other structural/installation projects in the ocean environment.
