PSYCH 392 - Art Therapy Prerequisites: PSYCH 100 Requirement Fulfillment: Major, Minor, Core Concentration Delivery: Lecture This course is an overview of the theories and techniques in the field of art therapy. It is intended to be a survey course and will expose students to the general field of art therapy and how it is applied to specific populations. Students will read about the theories, the application of theory, research support and treatment. Students will learn the context in which theories develop and the related limitations. Students will have an opportunity to engage with art materials and experience the art making process used in therapeutic settings and to think critically about the use of these techniques in an applied setting. Minimum Passing Grade: 60- D- Repeatable: Yes
