HIST 429 - Community Partnership Center: History Prerequisites: HIST 100 or consent of instructor Fulfills a course requirement in the History Core Concentration. The Roger Williams University Community Partnerships Center (CPC) provides project-based assistance to nonprofit organizations, municipalities, government agencies, and low and moderate income communities in Rhode Island and Southeastern Massachusetts. Students will undertake and complete original historical research on projects that will benefit the local community, which will deepen their academic experiences. Working in the field of Public History, students will develop discipline specific skills. The content of the class will vary from semester to semester. This course may be repeated for credit, but students may complete a single CPC project only once.
