ARCH 213 - Architectural Design Core Studio III Prerequisites: ARCH 114 Requirement Fulfillment: B.S. in Architecture; Delivery: Other This studio continues exposing students to fundamental design concepts and principles to develop a conceptual basis for their work. Students are asked to form a vocabulary for making spaces with an emphasis on site, climate, and the environment, as well as human scale, proportion, structure, enclosure, materiality, and typology. The course encourages students to articulate a point of view by considering the ethical issues surrounding the assignments and the communities for whom they are designing. Students are expected to keep improving the skills necessary to visualize and communicate their ideas. A minimum passing grade of “C” is required.
