AQS 207 - Elasmobranchs Prerequisites: Aquatic Animal Welfare Module offered through The Aquarium Vet E-quarist Course Requirement Fulfillment: AQS Undergraduate Certificate Note: One course in the AQS Undergraduate Certificate Delivery: Other Welcome to AQS 207: Elasmobranchs - this course deals solely with elasmobranchs, the group that includes modern sharks, rays, and skates. These often form a vital and fascinating part of large aquarium displays. The course reviews anatomy and physiology as they differ from teleosts, as well as any other differences in handling, sample techniques, diseases and treatments, etc. Shark transport and the proper design for shark exhibits will be addressed. Reproduction including artificial techniques are included in this module.
