AQS 206 - Nutrition and Reproduction Prerequisites: Aquatic Animal Welfare Module offered through The Aquarium Vet E-quarist Course Requirement Fulfillment: AQS Undergraduate Certificate Note: One course in the AQS Undergraduate Certificate Delivery: Other Welcome to AQS 206: Nutrition and Reproduction - the course introduces the basics of nutrition - protein, carbohydrates, fats, vitamins and minerals. What they are and why they are important? It will examine the types of foods available, including live foods and their production. Food acquisition, storage, preparation and handling will be covered. The course will also address the targeted-feeding of specimens in a mixed species display. Included will be a review of the importance of nutrition on the immune system and reproduction. Some basic genetics is included.
