Delivery: Lecture Welcome to Lifespan Development! Do you often find yourself wondering how people become who they are? Have you pondered all of the ways you have changed since you were a child? Are you curious about how to support psychological well-being into old age?
Throughout the semester, we will delve into these questions and examine continuity and change from conception to death. The course is designed to provide an introduction to the science of
lifespan development, with a particular focus on periods of plasticity. We will consider interactions among biological, psychological, and social aspects of development.
You will not only gain knowledge of key theories and concepts in lifespan development, but also learn how to critically evaluate scientific evidence. Lectures, in-class discussions, and student
presentations will focus on applications of knowledge to your own life and real world issues.
