DANCE 440 - Movement Theatre

Prerequisites: none
Delivery: Studio
Explores movement theatre techniques and styles.  Students explore storytelling through physical movement and other theatrical skills that highlight one’s body as a vehicle for communication. Creative assignments involve various theatrical devices such as masks, text, puppetry, props, video, and costumes. Students develop original performance pieces throughout the semester.  Requires a final performance project which serves as a substantial component for the course.
