DANCE 310 - Dance History

Prerequisites: None
Requirement Fulfillment: Fulfills a course requirement in the  General Education Area Social Inquiry and the Humanities
Delivery: Other
Examines the history and development of Western theatrical dance; including the cultural origins and technical developments of ballet, modern, post-modern, and various contemporary forms. Via readings, video, research projects and discussions; students examine how dance forms and practices arise from - and reflect upon - individuals and societies.
