PHIL 254 - Contemporary Philosophy Prerequisites: PHIL 100 and PHIL 205 ; or consent of the instructor Requirement Fulfillment: Fulfills an elective course requirement in the Philosopy Major and Minor Delivery: Combined Lecture and Discussion Explores the ideas and influence of important philosophical figures of the 19th and 20th centuries, including Hegel, Marx, Kierkegaard, Nietzsche, Russell, Moore, Wittgenstein, Heidegger, and Sartre. The philosophical views examined include dialectical materialism, existentialism, logical positivism, and contemporary analytic philosophy.
