Provides an introduction to the study of global development with a gendered lens, focusing on how women impact and are impacted by global development processes especially in the Global South. Explores the history and theoretical underpinnings of the role of gender in development and analyzes the gendered dimensions of central topics in global development, which may include economic development, labor, health, the environment, climate change, globalization, and social mobilization.
