PHYS.201 Delivery: Lecture Applies engineering concepts to the design of wind turbines, including consideration of the wind resource, rotor aerodynamics, mechanics, and controls. Offshore wind engineering, including wave kinematics, hydrodynamics, and support structure design will also be covered, as well as wind farm aerodynamics, and the social aspects of wind energy development.
