ENGR 418 - Construction Engineering

Prerequisites: ENGR 300  
Introduction to the construction industry and the role of civil engineering in construction.   Topics include the design of temporary structures (e.g formwork), technical specifications, construction submittals and shop drawings.   Construction management topics will also be covered, including materials, scheduling and project control, estimating, contracts and project delivery, project change, and site logistics.   Construction safety and quality assurance /quality control will also be addressed.
