SEC 203 - Cybersecurity Fundamentals


Prerequisites: {SEC 100  }

Requirement Fulfillment: This course fulfills a course requirement in:

  • Cybersecurity and Networking, Minor
  • Digital Forensics Minor

Note: Learning Outcomes:

  • Rate threats, attacks, and vulnerabilities.       
  • Examine identity, access, and account management.   
  • Secure data, devices, and applications.          
  • Inspect networks and hosts security.              
  • Design secure infrastructure.            
  • Plan for incident response, forensic tests, and recovery.            
  • Appraise governance and compliance.           
  • Demonstrate risk management principles and techniques.

Delivery: Lecture
The course is an introduction to network security concepts, threats and vulnerabilities, access control, identity management, cryptography, and other cybersecurity fundamentals.
