Prerequisites:None Requirement Fulfillment:Fulfills a course requirement in the Philosophy Major and Minor Delivery: Other Introduction to the study of the principles of sound reasoning through discussion of language, deduction, and induction. Considerable attention is given to the analysis and evaluation of rational arguments with a focus on definition, informal and formal fallacy detection, and scientific method in general. The application of theoretical principles of logic to practical circumstances is emphasized throughout the semester.
