ENGR 340 - Sustainable Energy Systems

Prerequisites: PHYS 109  or PHYS 201 
This course will examine, in-depth, at least three sustainable energy sources, choosing from solar, wind, biofuels, hydropower, and others. The basic science and technology pertaining to each topic will be presented along with design and implementation considerations. Environmental problems associated with energy systems will be briefly examined. Software tools will be used to assess the performance of the different energy systems.
